(Posted: 03/26/2009) - The DNA methyltransferase inhibitor azacitidine (Vidaza®) improved overall survival in patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes, according to the March 2009 issue of Lancet Oncology.

2.  Low-Dose Cytarabine Improves Survival of Older Patients with Leukemia

(Posted: 05/15/2005) - Lenalidomide (Revlimid™) reduced the need for blood transfusions in some patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), according to findings presented at the 2005 meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
